Evansville, Indiana Engagement Session | Bluegrass Fish and Wildlife | Jordan + Blake
From the moment I first connected with these two, I knew there was something truly special about Jordan and Blake. Jordan’s excitement and joyous spirit and Blake’s genuine personality were infectious; I was able to immediately vibe with them. As a photographer, no matter how bubbly and outgoing I am, I always get nervous meeting a new couple for the first time. I desire so much out of our session and when I can immediately feel comfortable myself, that’s when I know the hour ahead is gonna be real fun and enjoyable for all of us.
We started in the midst of the tall grass and the open field of Southern Indiana’s Bluegrass Fish and Wildlife. I always start out my engagement sessions testing the waters (no pun intented) with my beginning prompts. I ease my couples into it, but once they give me an inch, I ALWAYS take that mile, baby! These two did exactly what I needed them to do to create all the laughs and capture their genuine connection. No matter what, there’s no awkward dull moments in my sessions. We are constantly moving around, telling jokes, being silly, & always being intentional to make things easy and fun.
Jordan made a point to let me know before our session that her and Blake were down for anything – little did I know that she really meant ANYTHING. After some tough persuading, Jordan got Blake to end our session at Bluegrass Fish and Wildlife in the chilly water. We embraced the opportunity, creating memories that reflected their adventurous spirit. But, really, how SPICYYYYYY did these turn out?! Obsessed.
